Meet the cast of Outer Banks on Netflix

The drama revolves around the conflict between two groups of teenagers divided by class differences — the Pogues and the Kooks — and their hunt for a mythical treasure.

Season 3, which landed on Netflix back in February 2023, saw the return of the main stars of the show: Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes.

They'll be reprising their roles in season 4 along with the rest of the Pogues – but the cast also has some new additions, including the likes of J Anthony Crane (Dead Ringers), Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live) and more.

Chase Stokes as John B

Who is John B? The ringleader of the Pogues and long-term love interest of Sarah Cameron, who later becomes his girlfriend.

What else has Chase Stokes been in? Stokes has had a variety of small roles in television, including Stranger Things, Daytime Divas, and Tell Me Your Secrets.

Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron

Who is Sarah Cameron? Referred to by many as the Princess of the Kooks, Sarah's rebellious side often rejects the Kook life and gets her mixed up with the Pogues. John B is her boyfriend.

What else has Madelyn Cline been in? Considered her breakout role, Outer Banks is her first major leading TV gig. The actress and model has previously starred in The Originals, Stranger Things and most recently, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Madison Bailey as Kiara

Who is Kiara? Kiara is the daughter of a successful restaurant owner but hangs out with the Pogues. Technically, she's a Kook (as she comes from a wealthy family and lives in Figure Eight), but the Kooks reject her due to her affiliation with the Pogues.

What else has Madison Bailey been in? Bailey has starred in Black Lightning, and made her major TV debut in Outer Banks in 2020.

Drew Starkey as Rafe

Who is Rafe? Living with anger issues and a drug addiction, Rafe's next moves are always slightly unguessable. He is Wheezie and Sarah's older brother.

What else has Drew Starkey been in? Starkey has starred in The Hate U Give, Scream: The TV Series and Love, Simon.

Rudy Pankow as JJ

Who is JJ? The more reckless best friend of John B, JJ is fiercely loyal and has been ever since the pair met in the third grade. He has also struggled with past abuse from his father.

What else has Rudy Pankow been in? Pankow has had minor roles in The Politician, Solve and Deviant before this starring role in Outer Banks.

Jonathan Daviss as Pope

Who is Pope? Pope is undoubtedly the brains of the Pogues and could potentially be part of a romantic storyline with newcomer Cleo in the upcoming third season.

What else has Jonathan Daviss been in? Daviss is best known for his role in Outer Banks, but most recently starred in Netflix hit film Do Revenge.

Austin North as Topper

Who is Topper? Topper is Sarah's ex-boyfriend and another Kook in the series who despises the Pogues.

What else has Austin North been in? He has starred in sitcom I Didn't Do It, Jessie and All Night.

Carlacia Grant as Cleo

Who is Cleo? Cleo is a Pogues newcomer and Carlacia Grant recently told Elle that she has lots of plans for her character in season 3 when it comes to romance.

"I’m really interested in seeing this whole Cleo and Pope thing happen, if it does happen," she said. "I would love to see more of Cleo's backstory. I, personally, really want to see more of her, more of where she came from. And I want her to be more badass, definitely more badass."

What else has Carlacia Grant been in? The actress has starred in Roots, The Resident, Greenleaf and joined the cast of Outer Banks in 2021.

Fiona Palomo as Sofia

Who is Sofia? First introduced in season 3, Sofia is in a relationship with Rafe. She is set to feature a lot more as Palomo has been upped to a series regular for season 4.

What else has Fiona Palomo been in? Palomo has starred in Gossip Girl: Acapulco, Control Z, Bad Actor and Journey to Bethlehem.

J Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff

Who is Chandler Groff? According to Netflix, Chandler is "darkly grief-stricken over the loss of his wife" and is set to welcome the Pogues on their latest adventure.

What else has J Anthony Crane been in? Crane is known for his roles in Prime Video's Dead Ringers and Blue Bloods. He has also starred in Succession, FBI and Chicago PD.

Pollyanna McIntosh as Dalia

Who is Dalia? According to Netflix, Dalia is "a revolutionary-like leader and worldly baddie on a plunder who comes face-to-face with the Pogues".

What else has Pollyanna McIntosh been in? The Scottish actress and director is known for her roles in The Woman, The Walking Dead franchise as Jadis and in Vikings: Valhalla. She has also starred in Scavengers Reign, Lodge 49 and MI High.

Brianna Brown as Hollis Robinson

Who is Hollis Robinson? Robinson is the biggest realtor on the island who, according to her character synopsis, "previously worked with Ward in a successful business deal, she now has her eye on Rafe for a new venture".

What else has Brianna Brown been in? Brown is known for her roles in General Hospital, Devious Maids, Dynasty and EastSiders.

Rigo Sanchez as Lightner

Who is Lightner? Lightner is described as being "an imposing stranger with a piratical nerve". His character synopsis continues: "This dangerous and calculating outdoorsman appears to test the Pogues."

What else has Rigo Sanchez been in? Sanchez has starred in Station 19, Animal Kingdom and Briarpatch.

Mia Challis as Ruthie

Who is Ruthie? Ruthie is described as being a "wild child with a toxic streak who develops a close relationship with Topper".

What else has Mia Challis been in? Challis has starred in FBI: International and Clickbait, as well as films like The Disinvited and Killer Nurses.

Charles Esten as Ward Cameron

Who is Ward Cameron? Ward is Sarah, Wheezie and Rafe's father. He's a wealthy business owner who lives on the wealthier part of the Outer Banks known as Figure Eight.

What else has Charles Esten been in? Esten has starred in Nashville, Big Love, ER and Tell Me Your Secrets.

Charles Halford as Big John

Who is Big John? Big John is John B's father and someone who we were led to believe was dead this entire time. But in the shocking season 2 finale, we found out that he's actually alive and so, we can only assume that the father-son duo will undergo an epic adventure in this upcoming third season.

What else has Charles Halford been in? Halford is perhaps best known for his role as Chas Chandler in detective drama Constantine, but has also starred in Logan Lucky, Bad Times at the El Royale and has also voiced characters in video games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4 and God of War.
